What was one of the most important things that helped you take the step into seminary?
The most important thing that helped me take the step to entering the seminary was going to daily Mass and visiting the Blessed Sacrament to present my prayers, petitions, and desires before the Lord. Upon trying to listen to the Holy Spirit, I then had to have the confidence to say ”yes,” trusting that God would fulfill His promise made to me through His Son.
What do you enjoy most about the seminary?
What I enjoy the most is being able to live with a group of men from so many different backgrounds who all have decided to follow our Lord Jesus. It truly is a beautiful thing when brothers live together, but an even more beautiful thing when the pray everyday with and for each other, that God might strengthen them in their vocation and bless their future ministry as priests.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Doing just about anything…it does not take much to make me happy (though a nice powder-day on the slopes is pretty okay.
What would be your one piece of advice for a young man discerning his vocation?
Be not afraid! Trust in the Lord, who is knocking at the door of your heart; let Him enter and let Him abide in you.
What is a good book for someone thinking about his vocation?
